Melita: (Thought box.) I hope this works. It's been a while.

Melita: I light a candle to guide you out of darkness.

(She holds up a jug of water in her left hand and fills a glass. View from her right side.)

Melita: I fill a glass to refresh you out of kindness.

(She holds the candle and glass up. View from in front.)

Melita: As the world turns and the stars shine, I wait for you.

(Melita holds both hands to her chest. View from her right side.)

Melita: As my body breaths and my heart beats, I think of you.

(Melita holds up a knife.)

Melita: I offer a sacrifice…

Panel 6

(She brings the knife down. She's frowning and looking very serious.)

Melita: …to invite you out of love.

Spx: squelch.

Panel 7

(Melita looks round, her eyes wide at the sudden apparition behind her. Bright purple pink light has appeared and is reflected in the glass behind and in her glasses. You can't make out what she's sacrificed because it's out of shot.)

Brighid: Your sacrifice pleases me. It's been a long time Melita Adani.
